Phil Nichol was born in Scotland but
moved to Canada at an early age. He first came to public
attention as a member of the award winning Canadian
comedy trio, Corky and the Juice Pigs.
Corky and the Juice Pigs where on the comedy circuit
for around 11 years before eventually going there separate
ways in the late 90's. It was at this time that Nichol's
solo routines started to get him good reviews.
Phil Nichol's solo performances not only gained him
good reviews however and in 1998 he won the Time Out
Comedy Award, and was nominated for the prestigious
Perrier Award in 2002 with his show, "Things I Like
I Lick".
He has started to appear more often on television
in recent years, but can still be seen on the Stand
Up circuit, if you're lucky that is! |
