Born in Lebanon, Dom Joly moved to England as a teenager where he attended the Dragon School in Oxford then Haileybury College, a boys' independent boarding school in Hertfordshire, England, and then in 1988 to 1991 the School of Oriental and African Studies in London, where he got a First Class Honours Degree in Arabic and International Politics.
He is best known for his work on the hit television show, Trigger Happy TV, a hidden camera show, and Dom Joly's Happy Hour, where he explored the drinking habits of other cultures.
In addition to English, Joly also speaks Arabic and French. While in Lebanon he attended Brummana High School in Brummana where he was, by chance, a contemporary of Osama bin Laden who was just graduating from the senior school. |
