We've all done it, heard a song wrong and been incredibly embarassed when it's been pointed out to us. Well, here's my favourite, for which I was picked out for ridicule for by my brother, and I'm not sure whether I'm over it yet!
It's from Barbie Girl by Aqua. I thought it went - "Im a Barbie girl... in this barbie world.... fight with plastic... what a spastic... you can cut my hair... and dress me anywhere... imagination... take me to the station!"
I think it actually goes - "Im a Barbie Girl.... In a barbie world....Life in plastic.. its fantastic.. you can brush my hair... undress me anywhere.....imagination, life is your creation!"
lighten up chaps! This is supposed to be fun remember.
OK, here's a funny one I remember from when I was a kid, that understandably now, my dad never corrected me on at the time, in fact he sung along with my version. You remember the song, "The Boxer" by Simon & Garfunkel? Well, there's a line in it that goes:
"Just a come on from the whores on Seventh Avenue"
and I (with my dad) sang:
"Just a come on from the horse on Seventh Avenue"
I think I'll sue him for psychological damage as the girlfriend who corrected me when I was 14 told all her mates and I got nothing but sniggers for ages after that.
