Personally I love them both but American Dad is where it's at. The jokes are more political and contemporary and season 2 is out on DVD this week. Woo whooo

I know this is kind of a cop out, but I don't really like either. Ever since I saw the South Park that bashed Family Guy, I can't ever view it the same. It's so easy to be off-topic humorous using those little interruptions, but it takes real skill to do it, like say, the Simpsons did in its prime (Seasons 4-9).
